Obama’s address on the economy December 6, 2011 in Osawatomie, Kan., where the president stated:

“… there is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, let’s respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. “The market will take care of everything,” they tell us. If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes – especially for the wealthy – our economy will grow stronger. Sure, they say, there will be winners and losers. But if the winners do really well, then jobs and prosperity will eventually trickle down to everybody else. And, they argue, even if prosperity doesn’t trickle down, well, that’s the price of liberty.

Now, it’s a simple theory. And we have to admit, it’s one that speaks to our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government. That’s in America’s DNA. And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But here’s the problem: It doesn’t work. It has never worked. It didn’t work when it was tried in the decade before the Great Depression. It’s not what led to the incredible postwar booms of the ’50s and ’60s. And it didn’t work when we tried it during the last decade. I mean, understand, it’s not as if we haven’t tried this theory.”

His mother was a socialist if not a communist.

His father was a socialist if not a communist.

His undergraduate degree was earned in two socialist leaning institutions where he learned socialism at the knee of professors who are known for their socialist viewpoints.

He was employed by the University of Chicago which is known as a left leaning institution of learning.

He is neighbors with political terrorists from the seventies where he learned that the establishment must be torn down and rebuilt per Marx and Engels.

He stated in his own election speeches that he had a different image of the USA and he wanted to transform the country to his ideas.

My only question is how was he lecturing on the subject of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago? He certainly does not believe in its principles.

It has nothing to do with the facts that he is:

-black

-young

-popular

It has to do with his root political belief in Marxism. He must be defeated if the USA as we know it is going to survive.

THINKING

It started out innocently enough. I began to think at parties now and then — just to loosen up and be a part of the crowd.

Inevitably, though, one thought led to another, and soon I was more than just a social thinker. I had become a binge thinker….

Somehow – I don’t know where or when – I began to think alone –
“to relax,” I told myself — but I knew it wasn’t true. Thinking
became more and more important to me, and finally I was thinking
all the time, more or less.

That was when things began to go sour at home. One evening I turned off the TV, gazed at my wife and actually asked her about the meaning of life.

She spent that night at her mother’s.

Then I began to think on the job. Don’t ask me why – I knew that thinking and gainful employment don’t mix, but I couldn’t help myself.

I started to avoid friends at lunchtime so I could read Thoreau, Muir, Confucius and Kafka. I read Bennett and Beck and O’Reilly. I would return to the office dizzied and confused, asking, “What is it exactly we are doing here?” Where are we going? What is the meaning of all this?”

One day the boss called me in. He said, “John, listen, I like you, and it hurts me to say this, but your thinking has become a real problem. If you don’t stop thinking on the job, well you’ll just have to find another job.”

Of course, all this gave me a lot to think about. I went home early after my conversation with the boss. “Honey,” I confessed, “I’ve been thinking…”

“I know you’ve been thinking!” she exclaimed. “And I want a divorce!”

“But Honey,” I said. “Surely it’s not that serious.”

“But it is serious,” she said, lower lip aquiver. “You think you know more than college professors. Pretty soon, you’ll probably think you know more than Michael Moore, although you won’t make nearly as much money as him. But in fact, if you keep thinking… well, we won’t have any money at all!” And she broke into tears.

“Honey, I think that’s a faulty syllogism,” I said impatiently.

She exploded in tears of rage and frustration, but I was in no mood to deal with the emotional drama.

“Darn it! I’m going to the library,” I snarled as I stomped out the door.

So I headed for the library. I was in the mood for some John Locke. I roared into the parking lot with FOX playing on the radio and ran up to the big glass doors.

But they didn’t open. The library was closed.

To this day, I believe that a Higher Power was looking out for me that night. Leaning on the cold, unfeeling glass, whimpering for Emerson, a poster caught my eye:

“Friend, is heavy thinking ruining your life?” it asked.

You probably recognize that line. Of course – it comes from the Thinkers Anonymous poster we’ve all seen.

And at that moment, I started on the journey that I continue to this day. I became a Recovering Thinker.

I never miss a TA meeting. At each meeting we watch a non-educational video; last week it was “Porky’s” and the week before that, we saw a couple of episodes of “Sex and the City.” Then we share experiences about how we have avoided thinking since the last meeting.

Thank goodness I still have my job, and things are a lot better at home. Life just seemed easier somehow, as soon as I stopped thinking. I think… no, scratch that! I believe the road to recovery is almost complete for me.

Because today I took that final step …. I joined the Democrat Party.

By the way, you did not need to be black to buy into some of the hope and change buzz. I am old enough to remember some of that from the late sixties and early seventies. Kids are gone, ready to retire, along comes this slick politician stirring up old memories and grandiose dreams. Anyway the monk sets it straight.

The CIA and our armed forces completed a long overdue mission. Congratulations are in order. A quiet nod and we should move on to the next target on the list. If they are having trouble generating a list, here are a few suggestions:

The other 9 on the top 10 Muslim radical list.

Any Somalian pirate, his main ship and his tenders.

Leaders of the drug cartels in Mexico, Colombia and other drug traffic controlled Central and South American countries.

Get back to me when you need more targets. As it took 10 years to get number 1 on your own list, I will not hold my breathe.

Consider the following:

Iran has funded President Karsai for many years per the Washington Post.

When South Africa operated as an apartheid, World political opinion demanded that reforms be instituted. Some have, more will be. Why is it that Islamic nations operating under Shariah law do not suffer under the same World political opinion pressure? Is gender equality less worthy a cause than color/race equality? Last summer Canadian newspapers were questioning the involvement of the Canadian military through NATO in Afghanistan. The reason was Shariah law and the practice of punishing disrespectful wives with divorce and acid washing of faces.

The Afghans defeated the USSR with some help from the Saudi and the USA according to Charlie Wilson’s War.

The poppy crop is a significant if not dominant piece of the domestic national product of Afghanistan.

Friendly fire kills 9 in Afghanistan.

There is no oil in Afghanistan.

Islamic unrest is rampant in the Middle East including:
