Enough Already Again

Yahoo outdid themselves December 8 2008.  The previous post talks about Obama and smoking which was the first Yahoo item.  I did not dig into the item but now I cannot resist.  Where was our great investigative reporting during the last 12 months.  I guess the great left media decided that the fact that Obama was a smoking and had lied about quitting would not serve him well on the campaign trail.  But Palin’s makeup and clothes are worthy of numerous front page exposees.  Enough already.

But what has really set me off today is the follow up.  While the great left media is explaining how smoking and lying about it is not really so bad a thing, the next item is to ridicule President Bush for his physical fitness regimen.  At the same time the fitness of the Obamas is referenced and Obama’s physical fitness activities are praised.  How can a senior citizen be criticized for his efforts at good health while a 47 year old smoking and plays some BB to the praises of all?  Enough already.

When the real media decides to show up and start writing something that resembles the unbiased truth please let me know so that I can start paying attention again.

Oh, by the way, this fairness doctrine which is being used to threaten talk radio must be the most ridiculous concept discussed by our congress in a long time.  Who is going to be the judge of fairness?  After the last 12 month session of BS on the anti-Bush, pro-Obama trail, can anything be more bias.  Yes.  Rush Limbaugh.  But the people love Rush.  Wait a minute.  Supply and Demand.  Isn’t that what our whole economy is based on?  Let’s not muddle up a great issue like ‘fairness’ with some opposing viewpoints.  Wait a minute, isn’t that what the fairness doctrine is all about?  I’m confused.  I think I just met myself coming in the out door.

What If President Bush Resigned?

BUSH’S RESIGNATION SPEECH

The speech President Bush will give:

Normally, I start Presidential speeches with ‘My Fellow Americans’.  I can’t this time.  Not because I don’t want to, but because the polls tell me that I know less  than half of you.  Taking it one step further, you have changed.  You are no longer ‘Fellow Americans’.  It’s tearing me up.
No sense in pussy footing around, here it is:  I quit.
I can see you all running for your note pads now.  No there is no impeachable offense that I am running from, that’s not the point at all.

OK, if I am not running and hiding, why quit?  I am up to here with you people.  I am totally disillusioned by people who do not get it.  You do not understand what is happening out there in the real world.  Furthermore, you do not understand what is going on within the borders of our once great nation.  Even worse you are so apathetic that you won’t even do the research and find out what is happening – really happening.

On the home front, you have been totally brainwashed by the news media and by politicians.


You hypnotically nod in agreement to their lines of BS.  The only protest out of you is a giant whine about high gas prices.  If you ever read a real newspaper you would know that the rest of the world is growing, fast.  The demand for crude oil increased exponentially during this last year.
While you were grousing about high gasoline prices, you made certain that we did not increase our domestic production.  That would upset the environmentalists. You are more worried about polar bears, spotted owls and coastlines than you are about your own economic survival.
The world as we know it faces real threats today.  You and the MSM have enjoyed slamming me with the ‘blood for oil’ tag.  If that were true, then why did I not  just seize and secure the Iraqi oil fields.  Then the rest of the country would have destroyed itself with an endless civil war.
Next from the liberal media was the ‘Bush Lied … People Died’ chant.  If I had wanted to cover up my gaffe – believing bad intelligence – then I would have hid some chemical weapons to be ‘discovered later’.  I told you the truth -  bad intelligence – when you get the truth you don’t want to believe it.

By the way, we were not the only ones who believed Iraq had ‘weapons of mass destruction’.  The rest of the world did too.
Just to put the whole issue to bed, I doubt that the general public remembers that the original national philosophy for the treatment of Iraq did not source with my government.  President Clinton established the policy re Iraq – change of regime required.
What really burns, is that you and MSM are listening to every word that a junior senator spouts on foreign policy and economics.  This misinformed and misguided candidate says that we should attack Pakistan, a nuclear ally of the USA.  He also thinks we should sit down without conditions and make peace with Iran.  A country which has swore the destruction not only of our friend Israel but the USA as well.
So the junior senator wants to give:
  • Iraq to al Quaeda
  • Afghanistan to the Taliban
  • Israel to the Palestinians.
He believes that we should stop our foreign aid to Israel and allow Iran nuclear weapons.  He believes that illegal aliens should be eligible for welfare and benefits paid for by your tax dollars.
Here’s the wake up call.  The world has changed.  Break out of the hypnotic trance that the MSM and Obama have created for you.  Think for yourself.  Here’s what to remember.
We won previous confrontations.  When our soldiers fought their soldiers, both sides wanted to survive.  We won because we spent more money and we developed better technology.

The soldiers of the enemy we face now do not want to survive.  That bears repeating, THEIR SOLDIERS DO NOT CARE IF THEY SURVIVE.  Their religion promises them rewards if they die in the service of their religion.  Their dedication is to take as many of us with them to death as they possibly can.  That is their mindset.

Just in case you are still comfortable, they are everywhere – all over the world.  They want to kill you and do not care if they survive the fight.

The absence of additional domestic acts of terror since 911 is a blessing.  A blessing that is not appreciated by the American people.  The hard work and dedication of intelligence, military, law enforcement and homeland security personnel have kept you safe.

When we started this war on terror, I told you, the American people, it would be a long, hard fight.  Sorry I could not wrap it up in an hour less commercials.  This is not a reality show, this is reality.

How do you, the American people, react.  You are impatient, in a hurry for results.  You need to view the greater good.  View things like a statesman.  Take a longer view and consider what is happening from a historical viewpoint.

Oriental cultures are famous for this long multi-generational view.

Your ‘me now culture’ attitude is tearing the very fabric of the American society.  You take it a step further by throwing your financial support to those who actually aid and abet our enemies.

You support the short view of the Democrats.

You buy liberal newspapers which are echoing Chamberlain-like comments and espouse liberal platitudes which only exist is paperback novels.  Even when it is proven that their stories are fiction, they continue on with the fantasy or retract on the back page.

You might as well send grenade launchers to the Taliban.

Stand up and be counted.  But please research the subject before you believe some pied piper, me included.  Stop believing the New York Times, USA Today, NBC and the rest of MSM.  Use books and the internet.  Enjoy yourself but do not get trapped in the BS which is TV today.  Reality shows and drama wrap up life in 60 minute segments.  Reality takes a little longer.

You must stop having unrealistic expectations from your government.  Become more self sufficient.  Use a little common sense.  It concerns me greatly when people ignore evacuation alerts in the wake of an approaching hurricane.  When the city involved is below sea level, I cannot fathom the reasoning.

Next on the list of insanity is this.  Who convinced you that money comes from the government?  It comes from your wallet first – always.  If you remember nothing else, remember that the next time a politician tells you he is going to do something for you.  I hope he does something for you – you are paying for it.
OK, this is it.  I quit.  I am retreating to Crawford.  My house is energy efficient the way Al Gore wants everyone to do, that is everyone but him.  My house is self sufficient for the foreseeable future.  Before the Presidency, no one had heard of Crawford.  When I return, it will be the same.  With any luck I will die of old age before the last vestiges of a once great country fall in ruin.
I almost forgot, Cheney’s quitting too.  You get Pelosi as your new President.  Congratulations, you get that for which you asked.
Watch her carefully, perhaps Nixon’s silent majority can still turn this country around.
